Empower your team to lead KCS workshops throughout your enterprise
For organizations that want to have their own staff lead KCS design workshops and other KCS training, DB Kay (in partnership with the Consortium for Service Innovation) is pleased to offer KCS v6 Internal Trainer Certification. This can be especially useful when developing a KCS Center of Excellence to drive KCS across the enterprise. Trainer certification allows employees to lead certification and design workshops for any team inside your enterprise, reducing your reliance on external consultants.
How it works
Your trainer candidate must first be KCS v6 Practices Certified, potentially after participating in one of our KCS v6 Practices or KCS Design Workshops. We will then work to help prepare them to co-facilitate a workshop with us using KCS courseware that you have already licensed and modified, or out-of-the-box courseware from the Consortium for Service Innovation.
Then, the workshop begins! The internal trainer candidate will facilitate as much of the workshop as they feel comfortable doing, knowing that we’re always there to help as needed. We’ll provide coaching during breaks and feedback at the end of each day.
Based on what we’ve observed during the workshop, we will complete the required letter of recommendation for the Consortium. Once the candidate passes the KCS Certified Trainer exam and debriefs with the Consortium, they receive their KCS v6 Internal Trainer certification.
KCS Certified Internal Trainers will be able to facilitate:
- The KCS Practices Workshop (3 days) and a KCS Design Session (3-5 days)
- Introduction to KCS (1/2-1 day)
- KCS Leadership Workshop (1-2 days)
- KCS Knowledge Domain Analysis Workshop (2 days; prior attendance required)
once they have executed the Internal Trainer Licensing Agreement with the Consortium.
